Roselle Archaeological Site
At the Roselle archaeological site, visitors embark on a true journey through time.
This is where the ruins of the ancient city of Roselle are located; its origins date back to the 7th century B.C. Built on two hills, Roselle was an important Etruscan center and, later, a prosperous Roman city.
The excavations have unearthed significant structures such as the amphitheater, the thermal baths, and long sections of the ancient city walls, built with massive stone blocks and reaching heights of up to five meters in some places. The ruins still bear witness today to the city’s former grandeur. Also clearly visible is the area where the forum once stood, the ancient public square where political, religious, economic, and legal life took place.
