Piazza Grande is the heart of Arezzo:

Here, buildings from different eras stand side by side, making the square one of the most beautiful in Tuscany. The square features imposing structures such as the apse of the city’s oldest church, Santa Maria della Pieve, and the Renaissance Palazzo delle Logge, designed by Giorgio Vasari.

With its medieval atmosphere, this trapezoidal square is a popular spot for photos. In addition to its many historic buildings, cafés, and restaurants, there are plenty of shops to explore. Piazza Grande is particularly bustling on the first Sunday of every month and the preceding Saturday, when the antique market is held, featuring paintings, books, porcelain, and much more
