The area along the Elsa River in Colle di Val d’Elsa delights visitors with its idyllic natural setting. Just a few minutes from the town center, a protected riverside park with lush vegetation awaits hikers.

The Sentierelsa, a four-kilometer trail, runs along the banks of the turquoise-blue river and showcases the area in all its diversity. Along the way, hikers discover a variety of trees, observe native birds and fish, and learn more about the region from informational signs. Visitors can also admire numerous natural spectacles: the 15-meter-high Diborrato Waterfall is particularly impressive. Bridges, footbridges, stairways, rest areas, and much more make the trail extremely varied.

Don’t forget your swimsuit! Especially on hot summer days, the river offers a welcome chance to cool off in some spots.
